Through Online therapy, you are provided with the opportunity to explore whatever you are encountering in your life in a safe and confidential virtual space. This type of therapy has been on the rise and it can be an alternative option for you, if you have irregular work schedules, or live remotely or experience difficulties in terms of time for travel to sessions. With its flexibility, you can access into your sessions from a space where you feel comfortable and safe. The same standards of confidentiality as in traditional face to face therapy are followed. You will be required to provide some personal details to ensure your safety and to also sign a client agreement form.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Step 1- Get in touch with me by any of the means listed on my Contact Page.
On our initial contact, we will talk about the issues you wish to explore in therapy, the approaches I use or discuss any questions you have.
Step 2- Collaboratively, we will find a suitable time and date for your appointment.
In advance of the first session I will email you a short intake form and the agreement form to complete and email back to me.
Step 3- Attend your online counselling session.
You will be provided with the information needed on how to connect for the video call before your session. I use Zoom as it is an end to end encrypted systems that ensure privacy and security. You will receive a booking confirmation email with a link to the session, and when you want to join at the start time of your session you simply click on the link in your email and you’re in.
Take some time at the beginning of the first online session to make sure that the audio and picture quality are good, that you have private space to talk and that there is no external noise getting in the way.
