Counselling & Psychotherapy

Hi, I`m Natanielle

Being passionate about human connectivity, I have dedicated my personal as well as professional choices towards connecting with other human beings. My relational prowess has led me from working with children for over a decade as a Childcare Educator. In 2017, I expanded my passion towards the Counselling and Psychotherapeutic field.

I am a fully qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I hold a BA (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the Irish College of Humanities and Applied Sciences (ICHAS) and am an Accredited member with the National Association for Professional Counselling and Psychotherapy (NAPCP). I adhere to the NAPCP best practice guidelines and code of ethics and continue to expand my knowledge and meets professional requirements.

I am currently undergoing training in Compassionate Inquiry by Gabor Maté. Compassionate inquiry is a somatic trauma informed based approach which aim is to empower individuals to connect to the truth within themselves in the present moment, become free from self-generated suffering, and gain insight, clarity and choice in their behaviour.

Among other experiences, I worked with Pieta House, specialising in crisis intervention for those self-harming or with suicidal tendencies. For the past 3 years, I have been volunteering with Dublin Simon Community, providing therapeutic support to individuals with mild to moderate mental health problems, and particularly to those who are at risk or experiencing homelessness.

“Vulnerability is not winning or losing; it’s having the courage to show up and be seen when we have no control over the outcome."
-Brené Brown

I have deep reverence for the therapeutic journey, and I respect the vulnerability and courage that it takes to ask for help. People who grew up in an environment where their humanness wasn’t valued might attempt to protect themselves from being vulnerable by keeping their defences up. While this might have served them well in their childhood, as an adult it might lead them astray.

In my practice, I respect each and every person’s vulnerability, as well as their efforts at being invulnerable, while upholding a therapeutic relationship that nurtures a sense of safety. By working with me, you will be provided with options and choices, secure space, as well as the freedom to be vulnerable.

The way I work is focused on placing you as the client at the centre of the therapeutic process and tailor my approach to suit your individual needs. I use a combination of theoretical frameworks and therapeutic models depending on the situation. It is not a one-size-fits-all approach.

If you feel you are interested in working with me, please call me or drop me an email or text. I welcome people (18yrs and over) from all walks of life and I welcome people of all ethnicities, genders, and sexual preferences.
